NYC’s mon­u­men­tal 2019

NYC & Com­pany was in Aus­tralia last week, ac­com­pa­nied by a group of key NYC tourism rep­re­sen­ta­tives to pro­mote the virtues of vis­it­ing the city in 2019 to Aussie trav­ellers.

The del­e­ga­tion in­cluded reps from the Em­pire State Build­ing, New York Hil­ton Mid­town, One World Ob­ser­va­tory & the Mu­seum of Mod­ern Art (MoMA), who were in town to par­tic­i­pate in a se­ries of trade events and in­dus­try brief­ings.

The new global ini­tia­tive from NYC & Com­pany is “2019: A Mon­u­men­tal Year”, a mar­ket­ing push to pro­mote the city’s list of up­com­ing at­trac­tions de­but­ing next year such as The Statue of Lib­erty Mu­seum open­ing in May, an ex­panded MoMA in Jun, & the host­ing of the LGBTQ cel­e­bra­tion WorldPride event from 01-30 Jun.

“With an abun­dance of block­buster open­ings across New York City and the his­toric 50th an­niver­sary of Stonewall, 2019 will truly be a mon­u­men­tal year,” said NYC & Com­pany se­nior vice pres­i­dent of global com­mu­ni­ca­tions Chris Hey­wood.
