Sal Salis resort for sale

-

ONE of the country’s best- known luxury retreats is on the market, with the owners of Sal Salis in Western Australia moving to cash in on their decade-long investment in eco-tourism.

The 15-tent luxury safari camp has been listed by Perth real estate firm Caporn Young, which is accepting offers until 18 Sep.

The resort overlooks the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef from a dune-top location about 70km south of Exmouth.

It operates under a lease agreement from the Western Australia Parks and Wildlife Service and is open from Mar to Oct each year.

“New investors have the unique opportunity to secure a multi-million dollar tourism business set on approximately 5.69 hectares in the Cape Range National Park,” Caporn Young says in its listing.

“With an enviable position adjoining the world’s largest fringing reef, Sal Salis has been certified ‘Nature Tourism’ by Ecotourism Australia in recognition of its minimal impact on the environment.”

The property is a high-profile member of the Luxury Lodges of Australia alliance and was established by its owners Sally and Stewart Cranswick in 2009.

The couple are reportedly planning a move back to their native Zimbabwe where they own the Masuwe Safari Lodge near Victoria Falls.

Sal Salis was nominated by Lonely Planet as the fourth best place in the world to stay in 2017, and has hosted high-profile guests including Pippa Middleton and husband James Matthews on their honeymoon last year.
