NEW re­search from Europ­car UK sug­gests that 23% of driv­ers ar­gue with their Sat­Nav.

Driv­ers be­came most ir­ri­tated when they were di­rected to a field, river or a dead end, ac­cord­ing to the study.

Europ­car’s man­ag­ing direc­tor Gary Smith how­ever found a way to re­main philo­soph­i­cal about the find­ings.

“There’s no doubt that the re­liance on SatNavs is in­creas­ing...per­haps ar­gu­ing with an inan­i­mate de­vice – rather than the pas­sen­gers – is pre­ferred,” he said.
