PATA has re­leased the stats on int’l vis­i­tor ar­rival (IVA) growth in the Asia Pa­cific, re­veal­ing a record high of 696.5 mil­lion IVAs - a 7.3% in­crease from 2017.

Mean­while, the Pa­cific trails be­hind with 4% IVA growth, with Poly­ne­sia the most pop­u­lar des­ti­na­tion, fol­lowed by the US at 3.5%, with the largest pro­por­tion of ad­di­tional for­eign ar­rivals go­ing to North Amer­ica.

The top five Asia Pa­cific des­ti­na­tions ac­cord­ing to an­nual IVA growth per­cent­age in 2018, are Nepal at 24.8%, Turkey at 21.8%, Viet­nam at 19.9%, Nicaragua at 17.5% and South Korea at 15.5%.
