THE Santa Monica Travel & Tourism team vis­ited Bris­bane and Syd­ney over 14-18 Oct for its an­nual trade, trade me­dia and me­dia sales mis­sion, where they at­tended a se­ries of events to present the lat­est de­vel­op­ments out of LA’s beach city.

The high­light of the visit was the Syd­ney sales mis­sion & trade me­dia lunch event on 18 Oct, hosted at The Gantry at Pier One Syd­ney Har­bour, which has been tem­po­rar­ily trans­formed to look like the Santa Monica pier.

Chef Govind, Ex­ec­u­tive Chef of Santa Monica iconic restau­rant The Lob­ster, teamed up with Gantry’s Head Chef Thom Gor­ringe to pre­pare a selection of scal­lops and prawns on the BBQ.

Aus­tralia is cur­rently the num­ber one in­bound mar­ket to Santa Monica.
