UNITED Air­lines has an­nounced the launch of Miles on a Mis­sion, a new crowd­sourc­ing plat­form pro­vid­ing its cus­tomers with a way to do­nate miles to non-profit or­gan­i­sa­tions and char­i­ties.

The air­line has se­lected 12 launch part­ner char­i­ties in­clud­ing the Trans­plant Life Foun­da­tion, Oper­a­tionUSA and Waves for Wa­ter, with each or­gan­i­sa­tion hav­ing 28 days to crowd­source miles from MileagePlu­s mem­bers to reach the goal of at least 250,000 miles.
