Boeing chief grilled

Travel Daily - - News -

BOEING CEO Dennis Muilenburg has faced a barrage of questions from a US Senate Commerce Committee regarding the company’s culpability in two fatal crashes involving its planes.

“We have made mistakes, and we got some things wrong,” Muilenburg conceded.

But Senator Richard Blumenthal lambasted Muilenberg, claiming the pilots and passengers “never had a chance” as a result of Boeing’s handling of its controversial MCAS software.

“They were in flying coffins,” Blumenthal claimed.
