Apollo fire im­pact

APOLLO Tourism & Leisure has is­sued a trad­ing up­date ad­vis­ing it will be chal­leng­ing for the com­pany to reach its un­der­ly­ing FY19 new profit of $14.7m in FY20, given the im­pact of the bush­fires across Aus­tralia.

The com­pany said the ex­tent of the im­pact of the bush­fires on Aus­tralian rental book­ings in H2 FY20 is un­clear at this stage and cited a re­duc­tion in do­mes­tic last minute sum­mer book­ings in Aus­tralia and a sub­dued global RV sales mar­ket.

Apollo said global me­dia re­port­ing of the bush­fires would also im­pact for­ward book­ings and ad­vised it would pro­vide an up­date in its half year re­sults, to be re­leased on 25 Feb.
