ATE fees waived

TOURISM Aus­tralia has re­leased fur­ther de­tails of the as­sis­tance it will be pro­vid­ing to the in­dus­try as part of the gov­ern­ment’s Bushfire Re­cov­ery Fund (TD 06 Feb), with the “bulk of the at­ten­dance fees for all seller com­pa­nies” at the up­com­ing Aus­tralian Tourism Ex­change (ATE) to be waived.

This year’s event will have a strong fo­cus on re­cov­ery, with Tourism Aus­tralia also pro­vid­ing ad­di­tional sup­port for fa­mil­iari­sa­tion vis­its for buy­ers to get out into af­fected re­gions to help spread the mes­sage abroad that Aus­tralia is open for busi­ness.

Fire-af­fected oper­a­tors will also be given the op­por­tu­nity to at­tend ATE20, which takes place in Melbourne 10-14 May.
