Kiwi hydrogen pact

AIR New Zealand and Airbus will research the future of hydrogenpowered aircraft in New Zealand, with the companies today announcing a joint initiative.

The research, a first for the AsiaPacific region, will investigate how hydrogen-powered aircraft could play a bigger role in Air New Zealand’s fleet by 2030.

The two companies will also analyse how hydrogen aircraft may impact Air New Zealand’s overall fleet and operations.
