DON’T worry fellow travellers, this plane wasn’t in the middle of take-off when it got stuck underneath a bridge, but the images are a tad disconcerting nonetheless.

The former Air India jet was reportedly being transported by its new owners when it got lodged underneath an overhead structure at Delhi Airport, with the carrier keen to distance themselves from the embarrassing incident.

“This is a deregistered aircraft of Air India which has been sold off. Air India has got no connection whatsoever with the aircraft under any circumstances,” the airline said in a statement this week.

Observers have posted on Twitter that the plane is still wedged under the bridge, and has been for more than two days now.

We’re not sure how the plane’s owners will remedy this one, but it’s certainly an unfortunate symbol for the state of travel at the moment.
