TALK ABOUT A makeover. This men’s suit has undergone a transformation, looks-wise, from its plain and simple predecessor (plain black with white minimal trims) to a sleek looking suit with red arm panels and flattering red panels, which contribute to a six pack look. We really did want to love this and were thrilled when testers reported great flexibility in the arms, which helped for an ache-free, comfortable, swim. It’s not overly buoyant so definitely one for streamlined swimmers who don’t need assistance with body position. Unfortunately, (as with last year’s test) the neck is still an issue. “The roll-neck felt cumbersome and actually seemed to catch the water and let it trickle down the back while the rash guard at the back gave me a nasty rub,” said one. The arms were very thin – just 1mm thick – which are great for warm waters and a quick transition – but not so great for chilly British waters. With a neck tweak this could be a first class suit.
