of New Bal­ance and while the Bo­ra­cay looked rather smart, some testers felt per­for­mance was dis­tinctly av­er­age for rac­ing. The low mid-sole of­fers just over a 4mm drop mak­ing it a good neu­tral train­ing shoe. There’s enough sup­port to not feel naked on the road and the good level of re­spon­sive­ness through the sole makes it ideal for train­ing. The ven­ti­la­tion is good al­though feet could start to sweat in re­ally hot races. There are no tri spe­cific de­tails such as loops to aid tran­si­tion, how­ever the in­ner is smooth and soft, ideal for a sock­less run. The slightly nar­row toe box means you may need to go up half a size.
