The truth is out about Bethany’s foray into lap dancing, but the teenager soon discovers the consequences can be brutal.
Weeks ago, teenager
Bethany Platt began working as a lap dancer at a local gentlemen’s club in a desperate bid to take control of her own life. Since being sexually-groomed and and repeatedly raped by her now-imprisoned perpetrator,
Nathan, Bethany has struggled to mentally recover and now sees exotic dancing as a means of exerting her power over men and potential predators.
Unfortunately, Bethany’s covert professional lifestyle was recently rumbled after she framed Gary for assaulting her friend and co-worker
Sam in a vain bid to stop him reconciling his romance with her mother Sarah.
Dismayed by Bethany’s uncharacteristic behaviour, Gary followed her to the club, discovered she was a dancer and tried to drag her away. However, Bethany turned on Gary and had him beaten up, before blatantly lying to her mother that he groped her! Morti ed, Sarah investigated and, realising the truth, rowed with Bethany.
To Bethany’s mortification, her grandmother Gail overheard she was a dancer and passed along the word to Audrey, her mother. Desperate for more answers, both women later check out the club, arousing the owner’s suspicions with their constant questions. Soon after, Bethany takes to the stage for a performance and is horri ed to spy her grandmother and greatgrandmother in the audience. As is usual with the Platt women, a public fracas breaks out, resulting in Bethany’s sacking.
Back home, Bethany’s fury terrifies her family until Sarah steps in and cuts her daughter’s tirade short with a decision that sends shockwaves through the household.
