Kiss me QUICK!
Ridge is playing favourites at work with their daughters – so Brooke delves into Bill’s problems, leading to a surprise lip-lock!
Staying happily married to Ridge isn’t easy, Brooke’s nding! Especially now that he’s pitted Hope and Steffy against each other by announcing that Forrester funding will be cut for either the Hope for the Future collection or Steffy’s Intimates line! Being Hope’s biggest champion, Brooke naturally wants Ridge to choose her conservative and socially responsible clothing line over Steffy’s racier range! However, his refusal to roll over is leaving the spouses at an unpalatable impasse... and that’s trouble.
On the day Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is due to make his nal decision, Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) temper is fraying around the edges. She tackles Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) about requesting that Hope (Annika Noelle) sacri ce her fashion collection so hers can get the funding. Screaming that Steffy is ruining her daughter’s future because Liam (Scott Clifton) chose Hope as his wife over her, Brooke is far from chastened when Ridge interrupts her tirade. He needs to do what’s best for the company and put all resources behind Hope for the Future; end of story, honey!
At the conference, Ridge’s approval of Intimates riles Brooke. “I can’t believe you did this to my daughter!” she barks, angrily adding that he’s crushed Hope’s heart and soul by simply buckling under to his daughter’s pressure. Ridge is just sick, hollers Brooke, before storming out to clear her head!
At Il Giardino, Brooke is still enraged when Bill (Don Diamont) joins her, guessing that the “Dressmaker” has prioritised Steffy’s clothing over Hope’s. Sympathising with his ex-wife, Bill isn’t surprised that Ridge has let her down all over again: it was always bound to happen, he says. He promises her he’ll always be there to give her whatever she needs, knowing that they’ll love and care for each other forever...
Grateful for the support of her “Stallion”, Brooke returns to Ridge, demanding he explain the reasons for his choice. Hearing him reply that Steffy needed the company boost more than Hope did, she accuses him of punishing Hope for being Liam’s wife. Outraged that she can’t or won’t see sense, Ridge counters that he has to ensure FC sells women’s clothing… not to coddle young women who feel passed over! Of course, he’d prefer to make peace with Brooke instead of increasing the tension. Calling a truce with the traitorous Ridge is the furthest thing from Brooke’s mind as she again meets up with Bill in secret. Ostensibly it’s to hear his pleas for her to intervene with
Katie (Heather Tom) and stop her suing him for custody of Will (Finnegan George). Anxious to forge peace with one branch of the family, Brooke petitions Katie not to deny Bill access to his son. However, the other ex Mrs Spencer isn’t interested in hearing her sister’s appeal: the custody suit is going ahead! Reporting back to Bill, Brooke promises him everything will be alright and, appreciative of her consolation, he moves in and kisses her… taking her very much by surprise! She recoils, reiterating that she’s married to Ridge, but it’s clear that she didn’t mind the stolen moment!
Refocusing on Ridge, Brooke’s hopes of getting their connection and their marriage back on track are quickly undermined as they debate Katie and Bill’s custody ght. Unaware of Brooke’s clandestine rendezvous with Bill, Ridge warns his wife not to inject herself into the drama; getting entangled with Bill
isn’t worth the trouble… Defending her dedication to her family, Brooke maintains her position, and that leaves these two completely at odds over the issue. He may have asked Brooke to stay out of it but he does the opposite, bursting into Bill’s office, demanding he cancel his counterclaim for his son.
Unwilling to accept Bill’s de ance, Ridge goes a step further, making an unusual request to Judge Craig McMullen (Joe Lando) to adjudicate the case in Katie’s favour! Withholding his intervention from Brooke, Ridge knows he’s laid the groundwork for more trouble in their marriage; as does Brooke, who fears that someone will nd out that she’s privately meeting with Bill, which could easily destroy her marriage!
