School Mistress! Shaking off her ‘Mrs Mangel’ persona, Jane reacts to an awkward faux pas by giving Paul a lesson in love he’ll never forget!
Brought back to Erinsborough as a romantic foil in a bid to soften the hard-hearted and tetchy Paul, Jane is thrilled with her initial success as they tentatively dip their toes into the dating waters. However, in her bid to impress, Jane again relies on old habits that could back re...
After bringing the estranged Robinson family back together brie y, Jane (Annie Jones) goes a step further, organising a cosy catch-up lunch for Paul (Stefan Dennis), his children and their romantic partners – whom he absolutely detests! Unfortunately, last-minute cancellations from David (Takaya Honda), Amy (Zoe Cramond) and Gary (Damian Richardson) leave Paul and Jane breaking bread with just Leo (Tim Kano) and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou), and the meal’s very awkward, to say the least! Leo’s imsy excuse to ee the penthouse early leaves Paul downcast – and Jane realising she was wrong to think that the broken Robinson family could be so easily healed.
Aware of Paul’s personality quirks, Jane rushes to apologise, but faced with his rejection, she looks in the mirror, hit hard with the realisation that she meddled in Paul’s personal life. It’s an old, and very bad, habit Jane learned from her years caring for the grand dame of meddling, her grandmother Mrs Mangel, and she’s annoyed with herself for behaving like “Nan”.
Acting on friendly advice from Dipi (Sharon Johal), Jane plans an intimate and romantic dinner for Paul and it works like a total charm... concluding with the pair enraptured in a heated kiss! The path’s now clear for it to lead to something more, but Jane puts the brakes on, choosing to embrace her new attitude and lay Mrs Mangel to rest for good.
Taking things slowly, Jane welcomes Paul’s efforts to court her gently as he arrives at school (where she’s Acting Principal for a suspended Susan) to walk her home at the end of the day. Before they leave, Jane tries something different, irting and amorously propositioning her new man – and they’re soon getting frisky in an empty classroom… until Elly (Jodi Anasta) interrupts to investigate the noises heard in the hallways!
Flushed from getting caught amid her desktop romp, Jane sinks inward all over again, angry and ashamed of feeling so liberated, while a confused Paul worries that her intimate feelings for him were faked simply to distract him from his children’s romantic affairs.
Can Jane and Paul heal the divide between them and make a go of their ourishing new romance?
KISS FOR THE TEACHER Paul (Stefan Dennis) and Jane (Annie Jones) smooch!
