Te’s tough choice
Te Rongopai’s complicated love-life leaves her suitors TK and Pita hanging by a thread while she chooses between them
Regardless of the emotional pain she’s suffered in discovering that her husband
Pita Rameka is cheating on her with his secretary Keira,
Te Rongopai has found solace, support and potentially love with a caring TK. However, Te Rongopai can’t shake the love she still feels for Pita from her thoughts – and it’s not helping that he’s the Minister of Health and is regularly seen in the corridors of Shortland Street Hospital where she is Chief Operating Officer.
Aware of Te Rongopai’s inner con ict, TK treads carefully around her as she’s tempted to take Pita back and forgive him his extramarital sins. She may have already rejected Pita a second time but when she becomes ustered at having her two paramours in attendance with her at a meeting, Chris calls her on her nervous behaviour, gently encouraging her to give her marriage a second chance if that’s truly what her heart wants.
To ease her burden, TK gallantly offers to step aside and allow her to rebuild the marriage and family, reiterating to her that they’re relationship is over!
Shattered by TK’s rejection, Te Rongopai cries on Harper’s shoulder, but knowing TK for a long time, Harper assures her that TK still has feelings for her because he won’t have made his decision lightly. Her head swimming, Te
Rongopai needs time to think but Pita’s impassioned plea only weighs her down even more. Who will she choose?
