4 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEK...
1. Art Trail 2018
THE fourth annual Murwillumbah Art Trail will transform Murwillumbah by showcasing its vibrant arts community. The showcase of art will feature painting, performance, sculpture, film, dance, street celebrations, food, wine and much more. The Art Trail will start this Friday and run from May 18 to May 28.
2. Vicar of Dibley
SET in the fictional Oxfordshire village, The Vicar of Dibley is one of the most popular series ever produced by the BBC. This new production adapted for the stage is being directed by Julie West and will begin this Friday May 19 with shows continuing every weekend until Saturday June 9.
3. Minerals exhibition
AN EXTRAORDINARY collection of minerals and gems assembled over a lifetime will go on display at the Tweed Regional Museum today.
The display features over 500 mineral specimens and 300 gems and was donated to Tweed Shire by the Smith family and will be on permanent display with interactive screens.
4. Japanese dancing
JAPANESE dancing by the Sakura Dance Group (above left) will make for a great day out at the Piggabeen Valley Market this Sunday. The market has a friendly country atmosphere with live music, handmade arts and craft, home-baked treats, local produce and more. Those attending can bring their own picnic rug or chairs.
