1. Art Trail 2018

THE fourth an­nual Mur­willum­bah Art Trail will trans­form Mur­willum­bah by show­cas­ing its vi­brant arts com­mu­nity. The show­case of art will fea­ture paint­ing, per­for­mance, sculp­ture, film, dance, street cel­e­bra­tions, food, wine and much more. The Art Trail will start this Fri­day and run from May 18 to May 28.

2. Vicar of Di­b­ley

SET in the fic­tional Ox­ford­shire vil­lage, The Vicar of Di­b­ley is one of the most pop­u­lar se­ries ever pro­duced by the BBC. This new pro­duc­tion adapted for the stage is be­ing di­rected by Julie West and will be­gin this Fri­day May 19 with shows con­tin­u­ing every week­end un­til Satur­day June 9.

3. Min­er­als ex­hi­bi­tion

AN EX­TRA­OR­DI­NARY col­lec­tion of min­er­als and gems assem­bled over a life­time will go on dis­play at the Tweed Re­gional Mu­seum to­day.

The dis­play fea­tures over 500 min­eral spec­i­mens and 300 gems and was do­nated to Tweed Shire by the Smith fam­ily and will be on per­ma­nent dis­play with in­ter­ac­tive screens.

4. Ja­panese danc­ing

JA­PANESE danc­ing by the Sakura Dance Group (above left) will make for a great day out at the Pig­gabeen Val­ley Mar­ket this Sun­day. The mar­ket has a friendly coun­try at­mos­phere with live mu­sic, hand­made arts and craft, home-baked treats, lo­cal pro­duce and more. Those at­tend­ing can bring their own pic­nic rug or chairs.
