On exhibition – Tweed Road Development Strategy
The Tweed Road Development Strategy has been Council’s primary guide in forming our future road and existing road upgrade strategy to cater for future growth.
This revised version uses current modelling tools with inputs from population data predictions and employment predictions to develop a list of future works.
The timing of those works is then categorised as short term, medium term, long term, or subject to land release.
This draft Strategy is now on public exhibition for a period of 42 days from Tuesday 15 May to Tuesday 3 July 2018.
After the period of exhibition, and in consideration of the community feedback received, an updated works program for the Section 94 Plan No.4 Tweed Roads Contribution Plan will be developed.
The draft Strategy recommends a total of 51 road infrastructure upgrades. The draft Tweed Road Development Strategy can be viewed at the Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads administration offices and Murwillumbah and Tweed Heads libraries and online at www.tweed.nsw.gov.au.
Feedback on the draft Strategy should be made in writing to the General Manager, Tweed Shire Council, PO Box 816, Murwillumbah NSW 2484 or by email to email@example.com by Tuesday 3 July 2018.
Anyone wanting to discuss the draft Strategy can contact Council Engineer Traffic Ray Clark by telephoning (02) 6670 2400 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
