Multicap helps those with a disability achieve their goals
MULTICAP is an organisation that believes every person deserves to live life to the absolute fullest, says Tweed Heads regional manager Helen Carter.
“With more than 55 years of experience working with individuals and families with high disability needs, Multicap has matured into an organisation with a broad service offering,” she said.
“Our team is dedicated to being there for our customers in all ways and championing every person to live their most fulfilling life.
“Multicap does this through a wide range of services such as short term accommodation and community hubs.”
Ms Carter said Multicap’s approach was about holistic wellbeing, and the organisation understood that the journey didn’t stop with provision of care.
“Many things contribute to a fulfilled life, including acquiring independence, developing new skills, receiving social satisfaction and exploring new horizons,” she said.
“As part of Multicap’s vision to honour every person’s employment goals, we’ve introduced four businesses that act as pathways to new skills and career outcomes.
“One of our businesses, Monte Lupo Arts, enables our assisted employees to express themselves through creative mediums including pottery, sculpture and screen printing.”
Ms Carter said the Tweed community was invited to explore the beautiful artwork at the Murwillumbah Art Trail from May 18-27.
“Our social experience specialists, Avegates, offer a range of diverse and inclusive social activities to help customers live their best possible lives,” she said. “At the Tweed Heads Community Hub, Avegates is delighted to host their first disco in New South Wales on May 19.”
