Encouraging businesses to lighten up

Tweed Daily News - - LIFE -

THE aim of the new Gold Coast Business Laughter Club is to help reduce stress, anxiety and depression among the region’s business people.

The group was founded by Aldwyn Altuney and Tracey Korman, who have brought in Donna-leigh Perfect and comedian Michael Bennett to organise events.

“About one in three people in Australia have depression or anxiety,” Ms Altuney said.

“We want business people to loosen up, live longer, relax and create great connections through laughter.

“Michael, Tracey and myself have all had depression and are all in business. I have also had three friends, aged between 31 and 45, take their own lives, which is absolutely tragic.

“Together, we can all make a difference. Business people could do with a few more laughs.”
