1. Beach Rugby

BEACH rugby is set to make its Queens­land de­but at Kirra Beach this week­end with a brand new tour­na­ment or­gan­ised by Beach Rugby Aus­tralia hit­ting the sands. Af­ter tak­ing the code to beaches across Europe to grow the sport, the or­gan­i­sa­tion is hop­ing beach rugby will take off. Matches be­gin to­day and to­mor­row at 9am just to the north of the Kirra Surf Life Sav­ing Club.

2. Boney M

SU­PER­STAR and orig­i­nal Boney M mem­ber Maizie Wil­liams re­turns to the Twin Towns stage tonight for a live concert with the full Boney M band to play a full set of disco hits.

Boney M dom­i­nated the air­waves in the 70’s and 80’s with chart top­pers like Daddy Cool, Ma Baker, Rasputin and Rivers of Baby­lon.

3. Home­less walk

THE Aus­tralian Red Cross Tweed Youth Club are host­ing a walk for the home­less Sun­day morn­ing and the com­mu­nity is in­vited to par­tic­i­pate and show a united front to sup­port those sleep­ing rough. The walk starts at Jack Evans Boat Har­bour from 8.30am-2.30pm and par­tic­i­pants will have the op­tion to walk 2km, 4km or 6km to­wards The An­chor­age in Tweed Heads. For info phone 0403 033 466.

4. Kingy gigs

WITH Aus­tralian mu­sic roy­alty (Daryl Braith­waite) rid­ing into the Kingscliff Beach Ho­tel to­mor­row, Kingy will be the place to be. Al­though tick­ets to the show are sold out, the beach­front precinct will be a great spot to soak up the vibes.

A good bet would be to check out Katie Who, who is play­ing at Broth­ers Cafe from 3pm. The cafe will be serv­ing $5 tap beers from 12-3pm from the prime Marine Pa­rade lo­ca­tion.
