Green meanie is back on screens in time for Christmas
IT’S been 18 years since Dr Seuss’s famous tale,
came to the big screen in the live-action feature film directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey, so there’s a whole new generation who will appreciate the latest version by Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures.
isa3d computer-animated production, exploring a bit more of what makes the green and tiny-hearted Christmas-hating villain so grumpy, using flashbacks of his early life to give an explanation as to why he gets more aggravated around Christmas time.
Narrated by Pharrell Williams, brings the tale to life via great CGI animation and the detail is Stars: Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, Angela Lansbury, Kenan Thompson, Cameron Seely, Pharrell Williams.

brilliant. It’s a movie you could watch over and over and see something different each time.
The scene is set in the cynical grump’s cave on Mt Crumpet, rigged with inventions and contraptions, are mind boggling.
With only his loyal dog, Max, for company, the Grinch lives a solitary life.
But when the Whos in Whosville declare they are going to make the festive season three times bigger, the Grinch goes on a mission to steal Christmas by posing as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
There are some laugh-out-loud moments in this fast-paced animation with comic characters adding fun to the story line.
You may not recognise him, but Benedict Cumberbatch
voices the iconic green furry creature and does the role justice.
This is a must-see movie for all the family this festive season and one that is sure to become a part of the Christmas list of movies to watch in years to come.
