Parking problems

Tweed Daily News - - NEWS / OPINION -

IF THOMAS Rehfeld is so certain the new Tweed Valley Hospital at Kingscliff will alter neither the face nor fabric of the village for the worse, I suggest he visit the new Gold Coast University and Sunshine Coast hospitals and chat with their immediate residential neighbours.

Bogangar residents may not object to future hospital staff parking across their driveways and then riding their bikes to work, as happens at both the above-mentioned venues, but Kingscliff residents most certainly will.

As for his maths, when the new 450-bed hospital expands to almost double, as planned, and each visitor and the thousand-odd staff need to buy their lunches, do their shopping, and avoid the two planned paid parking venues, where does Mr Rehner think these people are going to park?
