■ CHRIST­MAS time has ar­rived in Tyal­gum. The high­light of the sea­son is the Flut­ter­bies Christ­mas Din­ner tonight. The evening fea­tures a de­li­cious three-course din­ner, a cham­pagne cock­tail on ar­rival at 7pm, fol­lowed by per­for­mances by the Red­land Ladies Drum Corps. There will also be night mar­kets, and en­ter­tain­ment on the lawn. Seats are still avail­able for the din­ner, but get in quick – $70 per per­son in­cludes three-course din­ner and cham­pagne cock­tail on ar­rival. ■ THE Friends of the Tweed Re­gional Mu­seum team wishes to an­nounce the lat­est cal­en­dar for 2019 is avail­able. The usual high-qual­ity cal­en­dar has a fas­ci­nat­ing col­lec­tion of his­tor­i­cal im­ages of the Tweed area. Stocks are lim­ited and can be bought for $12 at Tweed Re­gional Mu­seum, Mur­willum­bah, Tweed Heads.

■ THE Uki branch of Red Cross will not be hold­ing its an­nual Christ­mas fundraiser and street stall this year. In place of the street stall, the branch will be hold­ing a gi­ant raf­fle, with some won­der­ful do­nated and pur­chased goods as prizes. If any­one would still like to make do­na­tions to the Red Cross, they may do so at the Jewel of Uki, lo­cated in the front of the old But­ter Fac­tory, in the heart of Uki.
