■ THE Univer­sity of the Third Age Tweed Coast is hold­ing an in­for­ma­tion day at Kingscliff Vil­lage Cen­tre on Thurs­day, Jan­uary 10. Come along and find out about the myr­iad cour­ses and groups you can join. It costs just $40 to join, giv­ing you un­lim­ited ac­cess to more than 40 dif­fer­ent ac­tiv­i­ties. ■ THE Bil­am­bil dance is on Satur­day, Jan­uary 12 at the Bil­am­bil Hall. Mu­sic will be per­formed by the Tril­ogy band. Danc­ing be­gin­ning at 8pm. There will be sup­per and door prizes. All wel­come for a fam­ily night.

■ TWIN Towns and District Gar­den Club’s next meet­ing will be on Mon­day, Jan­uary 14 at South Tweed Sports Club, Min­jung­bal Drive, South Tweed in the down­stairs au­di­to­rium. The hall opens at 8.30am and the gen­eral meet­ing starts at 10am. This month’s guest speaker will be Heather Prior, speak­ing about and demon­strat­ing the ba­sic prin­ci­ples of Flo­ral Art ar­rang­ing.

■ TWEED Heads His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety’s Re­source Cen­tre will re-open on Tues­day, Jan­uary 15.

■ THERE will be no meet­ing of the Hast­ings Point Tweed Coast Probus Club’s next meet­ing will be at Tri­care, 87 Tweed Coast Rd, Hast­ings Point, at 10am on Tues­day, Fe­bru­ary 19. ■ THE Kingscliff Triathlon is seek­ing com­mu­nity feed­back ahead of the March 31 event. In an ef­fort to re­duce the im­pact of Ma­rine Parade road clo­sure, res­i­dents and lo­cal busi­nesses are in­vited to pro­vide feed­back on the event to [email protected]­ports.org.
