#C430 1970 FORD FALCON XW GTHO PH2 $495,000

-

Up for sale is what most Ford fans consider the toughest variant of the GTHO model. This gorgeous XW GTHO Phase II is every Ford fans dream car. Originally built in August of 1970 and delivered through McLeod Ford in Rockdale, Sydney. The striking Track Red colour together with the gold stripes and the iconic Super Roo decals give this GTHO all the presence it commands. All areas of the car have been repainted. The GTHO sits perfectly on its original five slot wheels and new red wall tyres. All badging, blackouts and mouldings are all intact and as the car left the factory. There is the addition of a period style left hand rear vision mirror and a square base aerial. The black interior is in excellent condition and is all original apart from the front seats which have been re trimmed and carpets. Door trims, rear seat and hood lining are all original to the car. The GTHO still also retains the genuine rubber boot mat which is exceedingly rare. Under the hood is the matching number 351 Cleveland engine with solid lifter cam and 750 Holley carburettor which sounds just like a Phase II should. Backing this up is the 31 spline Top Loader four speed gearbox and 31 spline 9-inch diff following on from that which were both standard fitment to the Phase II model. The current owner has owned the car for approximately three years and the prior owned it for more than ten years. Any history prior to that is unknown. No available for inspection via appointment only at our Kogarah facility.
