#C491 1972 FORD FALCON XA GT OFFERS OVER $350,000
Here is a car that needs no introduction. With a current and prior history of credible owners this XA GT is easily one of the best examples in existence. Having been previously owned by members of Falcon GT Clubs and currently by Bill, the owner of BK Race Engines in Sydney. Bill and BK Race Engines are certainly no strangers to the muscle car and drag racing scene so when it came time to build this car no stone was left unturned, and the quality of this car is nothing short of amazing. After an extensive restoration, the car was debuted at Summernats 33 where it breezed into the Top 60 and won Top Factory Production Muscle Car too. It was also featured in Street Machine magazine in April of 2020. Once the car was disassembled the car was taken to Shane at S&K Restorations in Gundagai for paint and panel. The Red Pepper paintwork and original style blackouts are faultless. The undercarriage of the car was cleaned and painted so still retains all the original body deadener exactly where it should be. The interior of the car is also in immaculate condition with a host of original parts retained such as the centre console, eight track radio, door trims and headlining, to keep as much of the originality as possible. The final assembly was taken care of by Chris Dent from Falcon GT Restorations. As you would expect the engine in the car is a true reflection of BK Race Engines and pumps out a whopping 650 horses which is effortless thanks to an extensive list of high-end components. The comfort and driveability of the car has not been compromised even with this amount of horsepower and the car drives beautifully. The gearbox is the original FMX unit which has been modified to accommodate the engine and so too has the original 9 diff. The complete original matching number engine is also included and has been fully rebuilt. The odometer reads just over 79,000 miles and has only travelled 1,500 miles since completion. Now available for inspection by appointment only in our Kogarah facility.
