THESE GHIA-DESIGNED GT5 Panteras are extremely rare. Only 252 were made, powered by a Cleveland 351 V8 supplied by Ford Australia with a fivespeed manual. This combo was good enough for a top speed of 256km/h. Setting it apart from its predecessor, the GT5 was fitted with a large rear wing, equally large front spoiler and side skirts. It was also more luxurious. It was designed by an American, Tom Tjaarda, who was working for Ghia at the time. Given their rarity and overseas pricing and interest, this original Italian classic might well be a prudent buy.
