1968 HONDA S800 ROADSTER
$29,000 SHANNONS, LOT 20
THESE EARLY sporty Hondas pop up once in a blue moon. They are about as heavy as a paper clip and not much bigger. The powertrain features many lessons learnt from Honda’s motorcycle racing. The engine has an alloy block and head, twin overhead cams and is fuelled by four tiny carburettors. The current owner has had it for 37 years. With 73,968 miles showing it has been dwelling in a garage since 1994. It is an original and unmolested example of a rare, pioneering Honda sportscar.
