BACK IN the day of black and white telly and pubs closing at 6.00pm I owned and restored a Mk1 Lotus Cortina and have had a soft spot for them ever since. While this one isn’t a Lotus or even a GT500, this four-owner car, one who kept it for 42 years, looks like fun to pedal with its bored out Formula Ford engine and Capri 4-speed manual. It seems like a lot of love and a lot of dollars have been bestowed on it with a respray, rust removal and engine rebuild all done and documented. That means it’s hopefully time to turn the key and enjoy.
