The Johnson

The Johnson, the Art Series Hotel Group’s first property in Queensland, opened its doors in September 2016. The Johnson, housed in the heritage-listed Main Road building, is dedicated to Australian abstract artist Michael Johnson with several Johnson originals adorning the communal spaces. The property has 97 one- and two-bedroom suites and three penthouses, as well as a 50-metre rooftop pool designed by Olympian Michael Klim. The Stepping Stone cafe and Tumbling Stone bar and restaurant ensure you don’t have to leave the hotel, but should you wish to, you can take advantage of the Art Series Smart Cars and vintage Lekker bicycles. thejohnson.com.au
