Elegant and stylish are just two words that spring to mind as I enter my hotel room, and I would expect no less when staying at a hotel by one of Australia’s top fashion designers. Alex Perry Hotel & Apartments in Brisbane fuses classic yet sophisticated style with modern design and technology. The hotel and apartments, which opened in October 2015, are located in Fortitude Valley, just outside Brisbane’s CBD. This trendy area is home to some of the city’s best nightlife, across from the Emporium and close to the James Street dining precinct.

Alex Perry brings his design know-how to the hotel world with his role as Creative Director of the development.

His funky and playful touches are evident throughout the hotel. Head to the rooftop for a dip in the heated outdoor pool, or simply relax in the recreation area which has fantastic district views. There’s also a sundeck, BBQ area and gym. My one-bedroom Executive Apartment has city views, and I easily fall asleep on the ultra-comfortable ‘Sleep Elite’ queen bed. The GHD styling tools in the bathroom are an added touch to ensure you look your best.
