MAMMOTH LAKES THE PLACE TO PLAY

- Visitmammoth.com

California’s Mammoth Lakes is a vacation hot spot all-year round, with unbelievable skiing and snowboarding in the winter months (last season’s Mammoth Mountain was open from November 2016 to August 2017) and all kinds of adventures to be had in summer. Yosemite National Park is first on the list. Just 45 minutes’ drive from Mammoth Lakes over Tioga Pass, Yosemite is heaven for those who love being in the great outdoors. Another place to visit is Bodie State Park, a real, dead ghost town that livens up in the summer months with visitors wanting to see what life was like in the heady days when mining saw this place booming with 10,000 residents. Mammoth’s mountain bike park is world class with more trails popping up every year. You can also go hiking to Devils Postpile and Rainbow Falls, kayaking at Mono Lake with its weird and wonderful limestone tufas or fishing in one of the many lakes around.
