The interior design takes inspiration from the grand hotel dining rooms of the 1930s and the easygoing vibe of the area, with the French-style windows overlooking the Pittwater estuary. The coastal European menu is divided up by the open kitchens – from the raw bar’s oysters and dressed crab, to the larder’s fresh salads and charcuterie. Mains include fresh lobster from the tank, a range of beef and whole fish roasted over charcoal or over Basque grills, accompanied by simple sides of vegetables. There is also a beautiful wine cellar which features a range of Australian and European drops, including an impressive selection of rosé.
