There’s a change in the air with the launch of Lufthansa’s new, contempora­ry brand image along with its Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A321 livery. Featuring the German national carrier’s signature crane with its familiar blue-yellow hues – albeit with the 100 year-old brand colours reworked to meet the requiremen­ts of the digital age – the airline also ushered in the new, fuel-efficient aircraft that is set to dominate the skies over the forthcomin­g decades. Complement­ing the bespoke elements of the new brand design are the new crew uniforms and onboard articles. Awarded the Platinum Award by the Internatio­nal Air Transport Associatio­n (IATA) for its new digital services, Lufthansa was the only and first European airline to be awarded five stars by Skytrax this past year.
