Vacations & Travel - - Tried & Tested - By John Borthwick novotel

'The heart of Paris' is by definition an enviable address and Novotel Paris les Halles is happy to both claim it and share it.

Make this your temporary Paris address and you’re surrounded for starters by great art, with the Louvre and Pompidou Centre just a few minutes walk. Even closer is the underground hub of Gare Châtelet-Les Halles at the heart of the vast Paris Metro web; it’s your direct portal to Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, Euro Disney, La Defense, Gare du Nord, Champs-Elysées and the

Arc de Triomphe. The Novotel Paris les Halles is a modern, four-star hotel geared to both business and leisure travellers, including families. With 285 rooms, this is a large establishment but it is neither impersonal nor crowded. The rooms are spacious (especially by some European standards) and feature all the accoutrements you’d expect, including a flat-screen TV (with plenty of channels and languages), a safe for your belongings and WiFi. There are also rooms for guests with reduced mobility, plus a 24-hour gym. In the restaurant you dine very well (of course, it’s Paris) beneath a spectacular atrium. Meanwhile, next door is the newly renovated Forum des Halles with more restaurants and over 100 stores. In all, a most enviable address.
