Vacations & Travel - - Tried & Tested - By Lana Bogunovich cordisholand

Having recently completed an extensive refurbishment, Auckland’s iconic upscale hotel The Langham has rebranded, becoming the Langham Hospitality Group’s first Cordis Hotel in the Pacific region. Centrally located on Symonds Street, the Cordis Auckland is just a stone’s throw from major attractions, beautiful parks, several shopping, dining and entertainment precincts, bustling nightlife and Waitemata Harbour.

Inside the hotel, the beautiful lobby with its enormous sparkling chandelier and adjacent bar serving high teas evokes a feeling of grandeur and old-world luxury. There are 411 guestrooms with eight different room types, ranging from Superior Room to Chairman Suite. Our Studio Suite with kitchenette features an open-plan layout with well-equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area complete with flat-screen TV. The separate king-sized bedroom has an adjoining ensuite complete with large tub and walk-in shower. Elegant yet relaxed, this is a comfortable suite for families, and those that appreciate extra space and independence.

In addition to a range of generously spaced and stylishly appointed accommodation, the Cordis Auckland also features a rooftop swimming pool, Jacuzzi, 24-hour gym, the award-winning Chuan Spa (a must-do) and two restaurants, including the exceptional Eight Restaurant, which offers a dynamic dining experience through its eight interactive kitchens showcasing a variety of international flavours.
