THE FARMHOUSE, EUMUNDI, QUEENSLAND

- By Danielle Lancaster thefarmhouseeumundi.com.au

Nestled in the emerald green hinterland behind Noosa’s famous sandy beaches, is The Farmhouse, the Sunshine

Coast’s newest Hampton-style boutique accommodation. Nothing was left untouched in the meticulous renovation of the original homestead which opened last year with two accommodation types: The Farmhouse and The Guesthouse. The Farmhouse is the main building and has two private queen rooms and a two-bedroom self-contained retreat on the ground floor, while the Guest House offers two king suites, a large deck, entertainers' lounge and dining room that accommodates up to 10 guests. We are in the Guesthouse, which has wonderful rural views of rolling green hills against a backdrop of blue sky. We adore the décor of crisp whites, timber floors and touches of colour popping throughout. There is a tennis court, swimming pool and fire pit where complimentary hot chocolate is served during the cooler months as the embers burn into the night sky. It’s these little extras that are special – like the freshly baked scones with home-made jam and freshly whipped cream along with a warm cup of tea on your arrival. Noosa’s classic beach culture is just down the road and so is the township of Eumundi with its famous markets every Saturday and Wednesday, only a gentle eight-minute gentle walk from The Farmhouse.
