NOTHING BEATS NORFOLK

-

Norfolk Island is 35 sq. km of pure vacation bliss placed midway between Australia and New Zealand. The otherworldly haven boasts immaculate beaches and rolling hills bedecked with sequences of grand Norfolk pines. Rock pools dot the coastline connecting the excitement of the seaside with the calm of the country. The small island packs a lot of punch for its size with a colourful history covering its days as a penal colony and as a haven for the Bounty mutineers. Add to that its enticing foodie scene.

The dining experience is as farm-to-table as it gets with boundless fresh fish and warm churned butter. The island only imports garlic, onion, potatoes and ginger as everything else is locally sourced. Days spent fishing, swimming or kayaking in Emily Bay or exploring the many walking trails are complemented by sunset island fish fries or an evening feast at any one of the island’s 25 eateries.
