BOUNCE INTO THE KANGAROO SANCTUARY

-

Any trip to Alice Springs should include a visit to The Kangaroo Sanctuary, which is home to rescued orphaned baby kangaroos as well as adult roos. The 76-ha sanctuary opened in 2011, expanding the original Baby Kangaroo Rescue Centre established in 2005. The founder of both places, Brolga, aims to educate and encourage people to rescue and care for kangaroos and other wildlife, with the motto ‘Animals Come First’. Brolga also set up Central Australia’s first wildlife hospital in 2015, with the help of donations from visitors to the Sanctuary. A great time to visit the Kangaroo Sanctuary is on a guided sunset tour, which runs from Tuesday to Friday. All donations ensure that both the hospital and sanctuary can continue with their great work. kangaroosanctuary.com
