Where better to relax and revive than Bali, Land of the Gods? While this stunning island of sprawling beaches and verdant jungles is known the world over for its holistic wellness offerings, there’s one place that’s in a league of its own when it comes to pampering the mind, body and soul. Located within the spectacular Mulia Bali resort complex, Mulia Spa is a truly beautiful oasis-style retreat, and I’m delighted to spend four heavenly hours in it with the Spa Daymaker Package. One of the best things about this package is the flexibility, for it allows you to pick and choose your choice of treatments. I commence my journey with a long and leisurely dip in the outdoor hydrotonic pool, alternating between the hot and cold areas and feeling my mind clear and quieten as I listen to the sound of water and birdsong around me. I then test out the state-of-the-art facilities in the wellness suite, which includes a steam room, sauna, experiential rain shower, and ice room, excellent for boosting circulation. The second half of my experience is all about the pampering as I sink into two blissful hours of top-to-toe massage and a facial. I could not have imagined a better afternoon and Mulia Spa exceeded expectations on all levels, from the warm and professional service right through to the excellent variety of facilities and treatments, encompassing Balinese, Asian and Western techniques.
