For couples, families or groups, the InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is the place to be.

The InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa sits majestical­ly on a white sandy beach and among 14 ha of tropical gardens. The five-star luxury retreat is located on the picturesqu­e Natadola Bay on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu. After the less than an hour’s drive from Nadi Airport, a drummers’ welcome awaits and infectious smiles from the staff greet you with a cheery ‘Bula’.

Surrounded by coconut palms, this multi award-winning property featuring 266 rooms is inspired by a traditiona­l Fijian village and boasts superb facilities to cater for a range of travellers.

Families

The InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is ideal for a family, offering interconne­cting options in both Garden View and Pool View Rooms. If it’s more space you’re after there’s the opportunit­y to upgrade to a Lagoon View or Beachfront View Suite.

Planet Trekkers, the resort’s signature kids' club is designed to keep the kids entertaine­d and provides the adults with some ‘time out’. The club opens daily from 9.30am to 10.30pm, offers three session times and caters to two age groups – 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 year olds.

Planet Trekkers is also open to children under the age of four, however they must be in the company of a resort nanny. Nannies are also available for babysittin­g services at an hourly charge. If you’re travelling with teens, a dedicated recreation­s team is on hand coordinati­ng outdoor activities daily to keep them entertaine­d such as Pitch & Putt, beach volleyball, touch rugby, cricket and beach volleyball.

The resort’s main restaurant, Sanasana, is a great option for families as kids aged 12 and under can eat for free when with a dining adult. It is open for buffet breakfasts, à la carte lunches and hosts nightly themed buffet dinners such as Latin Nights, Toba BBQ, Flavours of Asia, A Taste of Fiji, and a guest favourite, Seafood Sensations.

Toba Bar & Grill, located at the heart of the resort, is a good choice for a casual meal by the family activity pool. It offers a range of dining options including wood-fired pizzas, wraps, burgers and Buddha bowls. And just by

Toba Bar & Grill you’ll find the resort’s sweetest hot spot, its signature ice-cream parlour, a favourite pit stop for both children and adults.

Couples

The InterConti­nental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is perfection for couples looking to spend quality time together or unwind. Sitting high on a plateau overlookin­g one of Fiji’s best beaches is the sophistica­ted Club InterConti­nental.

For that special occasion or honeymoon, couples can upgrade to Club InterConti­nental, where a spacious room awaits you featuring a marble bathroom complete with Pure

Fiji products. And for the true romantics, an in-room Queen Cleopatra bath ritual surrounded by candles is a must.

Club InterConti­nental offers a peaceful haven throughout the day, featuring a private infinity pool with panoramic views, surrounded by basket-woven cocoons to retreat in.

The Club is serviced all day and includes compliment­ary buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and sunset cocktails and canapés between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

The restaurant features contempora­ry cuisine inspired by the sea and an extensive range of New and Old World wines. Due to the refined nature of Navo, guests must adhere to a smart casual dress code.

There are activities galore on offer for couples from snorkellin­g and beach volleyball to local village tours and stretch yoga classes.

The 18-hole Championsh­ip Golf Course provides the perfect excuse for a golf break, and while the men are enjoying a round of golf, the ladies can retreat to Spa InterConti­nental, a haven of peace and relaxation set behind stone walls.
