DRESSING IN THE FINERY OF KIMONO
The kimono form that we know today evolved throughout Japan’s Heian period (794-1192). Made from exquisite silk crepes with intricately detailed patterns, the kimono is also considered an art form. Visitors to Tokyo should not miss the opportunity to visit The Kimono Gallery and be dressed by experts in this refined traditional dress. The real fun begins when, fully kitted in kimono attire, you are then free to roam the many streets and sites of Ginza, getting a taste of Japanese culture. After enjoying the sites of Ginza and Tokyo, you can travel to Ehime where you can visit Do¯ go Onsen, one of the oldest hot springs in Japan. Once in Ehime, a popular way to travel is by cycling on one of the major cycling roads in Setouchi Shimanami Kaido, offering magnificent views where nine bridges link the islands in the inland sea. Ehime can be reached by an approximately 85-minute flight from Tokyo.
