Kamana Lakehouse » Queenstown
The former Aspen Hotel in Queenstown, New Zealand, has been transformed after a multi-million-dollar renovation to be unveiled as the new Kāmana Lakehouse. The 73-room boutique hotel is located high above Wakatipu Lake on Fernhill, and is the highest-altitude property in Queenstown. Its Nest Kitchen & Bar features a circular art deco-style bar clad in bronze, accentuated by marble finishes and metal accents. The interiors are inspired by the natural habitat of the ‘Kāmana’ – an Australasian crested grebe duck that lives across New Zealand’s southern lakes region, including Queenstown. Prices start from NZ$264 (about A$253) per room, per night.
