Getting it right
The Travel Corporation’s (TTC) TreadRight Foundation recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary and support of more than 50 sustainable tourism projects around the world. TTC’s brands, which include Adventure World Travel, Trafalgar, Contiki, Insight Vacations, AAT Kings, Busabout and Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, instil TreadRight’s focus on people, wildlife and the planet when making decisions on who they work with and how they operate. The not-for-profit foundation was the vision of TTC’s Global CEO Brett Tollman. The foundation has worked on several sustainability projects including the Iraq Al-Amir Women’s Cooperative in Jordan, the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Big Cat fund, and Wildlife SOS in India. TreadRight has also worked with TTC’s travel brands to eliminate all avoidable single-use plastics across all operations by 2022.
