New East Arnhem land adventures

Lirrwi Tourism, an Australian Indigenous tourism operator, is now offering visitors to the Northern Territory two new full-day adventures in East Arnhem Land to be introduced to the Yolngu people and their culture. Day tours operate from Nhulunbuy and include the Gove Gululu Day Tour, walking with a local Yolngu guide and visiting Daliwoi Bay, Macassans Beach and Turtle Beach (known as Little Bondi). A second tour, the Bawaka Homeland Highlights Tour, takes guests by four-wheel drive to Bawaka Homeland, 90 minutes south of Yirrkala, set on a pristine, white-sanded beach where a Lirrwi Yolngu guide will demonstrate how various plants and trees are used for art, to create Yidaki (didgeridoo), bush medicine, foods and more.
