Viewing Canada through glass-domed rail cars
Renowned train operator Rocky
Mountaineer has launched its 2019 season, adding seven newly built GoldLeaf Service glass-domed rail cars to its fleet. The rail cars, which seat 72 passengers, feature large glass-dome windows and a separate dining area for guests travelling through the Canadian Rockies. Luxurious features include custom-designed heated compositeleather seats that recline and rotate 180 degrees for social seating. The new cars will be added to the trains travelling on two of Rocky Mountaineer’s routes: the two-day First Passage to the West between Vancouver and Lake Louise or Banff; and the two-day Journey through the Clouds, between Vancouver and Jasper. This year, the company has also introduced four new destinations to its holiday itineraries: Canmore, Kananaskis, Sunshine Village and the Cariboo Mountains.
