Monaco hosts new Grace Kelly exhibit
The Palace of Monaco is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Monaco, 6 May 1955: The Story of a Meeting’ until
15 October. The exhibition is dedicated to the first meeting between American actress Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier
III of Monaco, and is staged to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the birth of Grace Kelly. In 1955, when Kelly was a guest star at the 8th Cannes Film Festival, she agreed to a last-minute change to her schedule for a meeting with the Prince of Monaco on the afternoon of 6 May 1955. The exhibition is designed as a photographic tour through the Palace State rooms and includes personal items, letters, testimonials, newspaper clips and film excerpts.
