Until 1 September, visitors to Dallas Texas can view the exhibition ‘Dior: From Paris to the World’ at the Dallas Museum of Art. The exhibit honours the work of renowned couturier Christian Dior and his contribution to fashion history. More than 100 haute couture dresses, as well as accessories, photos and sketches are on display, spanning 70 years of the House of Dior. The exhibit profiles the House of Dior’s artistic directors whom, in addition to Christian Dior, included Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri. While there, don’t miss the ‘Monet: The Late Years’ exhibition on display at Kimbell Art Museum in neighbouring Fort Worth, running until 15 September. It is the first museum exhibition in more than 20 years dedicated to the final phase of Monet’s career, showcasing approximately 50 paintings. The exhibit includes more than 20 examples of the artist’s much-loved water-lily paintings and also highlights some of the artist’s unfamiliar works from his final years.
